Jean-Charles Joseph Rémond (1795 – 1875)
French painter, pupil of Jean-Victor Bertin and Jean-Baptiste Regnault.
Jean-Charles-Joseph Rémond was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix de Paysage Historique in 1821. The young artist spent the next five years in Italy painting sketches in the open air.
Rémond ceased to exhibit in 1848.
