Shunkei Mori (Active 1800-1820)
Shunkei Mori was an Osaka-based woodblock print artist active in the early 19th century. A student of Sosen Mori (1747-1821), Shunkei is best-known for the ehon (illustrated book) Chuka Senzen (1820). His views of plant and insect life are at once magnified and delicate, their naturalism suggesting careful observation of the natural world.
