Don Lambo (1921-2008)
Don was born in Amsterdam, New York, December 3, 1921 and entered the Air Force in 1942. After the war he attended Pratt Institute and pursued a career as a book illustrator for many years while raising a family in Peekskill and later, Putnam Valley. In the early 1970’s he branched out to fine art. He particularly loved to paint the pastoral scenes of Putnam Valley.
Don Lambo died January 9, 2008 at the age of 86.
