Charles Harvey Weigall
Weigall was an illustrator and a painter of landscapes, genre scenes and portraits. He was treasurer of the NWS (1839-41). He published the following manuals: ‘The Art of Figure Drawing’ (1852), ‘A Manual for the First Principles of Drawing, with Rudiments of Perspective’ (1853), ‘The Projection of Shadows’ (1856), and a ‘Guide to Animal Drawing’ (1862). Weigall also contributed illustrations to the ‘Illustrated London News’ and modelled in wax and made intaglio gems.
